At The Kirkstyle we are passionate about sustainability and playing our part in protecting the planet.  The abundance of glorious local produce, and our desire to showcase Northumberland on the plate, helps to naturally reduce our carbon footprint.  We embrace pickling and fermentation methods, using as much of the produce as possible, to create a larder of ingredients.  All dishes and sauces are made in our kitchen, as are many of our non-alcoholic cocktails.  Our crusty homemade sourdough bread is nurtured and baked inhouse.

We went for saturday food. The food was nothing short of amazing even foods i usually hate i found extremeley delicious. The drinks,coffee,cocktails,G&T where outstanding the atmosphere was very cosy pub without feeling like fine dining. The portions where nice and all of high quality the service was attentitive and friendly staff food came niceley spaced. My only minor critizims where the duck was slightly too salty and a bit more light would be nice but i suppose it was a ledden autumnal day but overall i would highly reccomend coming (and booking a table)!

We had a lovely stay at The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman’s Rest for my husband’s birthday. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The Nespresso machine, fresh milk and homemade biscuits were a nice touch. We booked the tasting menu for our evening meal and the food was incredible - inventive, delicious and using lots of local ingredients. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommended, we hope to return soon.

An exceptional stay and dining experience at Kirkstyle Inn We had the most wonderful stay at Kirkstyle Inn, Slaggyford. The food was quite simply some of the best we’ve eaten in a very long time. Every course of the tasting menu was beautifully presented, creative and absolutely delicious, with incredible attention to detail throughout. It was a truly memorable dining experience and, in our opinion, more than deserving of a Michelin star. We had a great stay at the Kirkstyle Inn. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The food was excellent, with a comprehensive wine list. Most of all, the staff were really thoughtful and made us feel welcome with our dog. Vanessa could not have been more helpful guiding my lactose intolerant wife through the menu. I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay for a relaxing break.

never stayed here just popped in for drinks and food, glad we did. came back for our anniversary 25/7/26 . had the Scallop starter, Dairy cow main and dark chocolate dessert with wine and beers. Every course was perfect with flavours and quality. without doubt the best dessert of my life, wish I was a millionaire I would live here. Service and staff 10 out of 10, roll on next year for our next anniversary.
