Our Menus

At The Kirkstyle we are passionate about sustainability and playing our part in protecting the planet.  The abundance of glorious local produce, and our desire to showcase Northumberland on the plate, helps to naturally reduce our carbon footprint.  We embrace pickling and fermentation methods, using as much of the produce as possible, to create a larder of ingredients.  All dishes and sauces are made in our kitchen, as are many of our non-alcoholic cocktails.  Our crusty homemade sourdough bread is nurtured and baked inhouse.

⭐ 5/5 The Kirkstyle Inn & Sportsmans Rest What an outstanding spot. The food was so good I briefly considered asking the chef to adopt me. Every dish looked like it belonged in a magazine and tasted even better. The room was top‑tier too — beautifully decorated, spotless, and so comfortable I started questioning why my own house doesn’t look this nice. Whoever designed it deserves a medal or at least a pint. The staff were genuinely lovely and put in so much effort that I felt like royalty… or at least someone who tidies up after themselves more often.…

We loved our NYE stay at Burnstone Cottage which is a new addition to The Kirkstyle Inn. It is a beautiful four bedroom house with a very stylish fit out. We enjoyed the 10 course dinner at the pub and the food was all divine. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Amazing stay in the most wonderful surroundings. Amazing views from the rooms and perfectly quiet in the mornings. The evenings get busy downstairs but at least it quietened down from around 11pm. We had the tasting menu and shared a wine flight. It was one of our standout meals for sometime. The chef, Callum came out to talk us through the ethos and how they’re trying to become more and more sustainable. We will certainly be back in the coming months, to explore the surrounding area.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Kirkstyle enjoying the local area and all the amazing amenities. Our room was exquisitely furnished. The attention to detail was fabulous right down to a little reminder about the clocks changing. The food was a real treat, delicious and all locally sourced. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive in helping us maximise our time in Northumbria. Thank you.
