On the eve of Wednesday 23rd September The Kirkstyle Inn will bring the region of Bordeaux to Slaggyford. Bordeaux is widely regarded as the world’s most renowned fine wine region. Covering around 120,000 hectares of vineyards, it is shaped by the Gironde Estuary and its two principal rivers, the Garonne and the Dordogne. The region is traditionally divided into two distinct areas: the Left Bank, home to vineyards west of the Garonne, and the Right Bank, where vineyards lie east of the Dordogne. Each bank has its own unique terroir, grape varieties and winemaking traditions, contributing to Bordeaux’s exceptional diversity and global reputation.
The evening will feature four iconic titles from the Bordeaux region, entertainingly introduced by our General Manager, Nick Parkinson. Head Chef Connor will pair each wine with a beautifully crafted dish, creating a memorable dining experience that celebrates the harmony between outstanding food and world-class wine…… The price per person is £85.
