This award hails the pub industry and the amazing contribution it makes to our community and economy, which in recent years has been somewhat overlooked! Pubs are part of the fabric of the British way of life – our heritage. Once pubs were local post offices and sometimes convenience stores. They have always been a communal place for people of all walks of life to gather, build relationships and support networks, create opportunity and enterprise. A place of humour, fun and compassion.
