Our Rooms

Each room has its own personality created by interior design studio Fantoush, in the weave of the fabric, hue of the walls, textures and antique gems.

All of our rooms have a spacious en-suite, king size Hypnos luxury mattress, power shower, smart TV, DAB blue tooth radio, hairdryer, mini fridge, fair trade down duvet and pillows, luxury cotton towels and bathrobes and sustainably made toiletries by The Bath House, made in Cumbria.

Church Stile

The Church Stile is the pub’s namesake. It has a dual aspect with windows on the north gable and views over the beautiful fell to the east. The deep blue walls encapsulate the moody mountains versing the sky.

The king size luxury Hypnos mattress and fair trade down duvet and pillows make for a peaceful sleep. The beautiful handmade block printed headboard and lovingly restored original French antique chair, set off the room. The extra generous en-suite shower room with spacious shower tray, twin vanity unit, distinct blue and white tiling and herringbone terracotta floor all add to the rooms unique character.

The Church Stile includes a single trundle bed, suitable for a child or an adult. It is dog friendly, suitable for a maximum of two medium size dogs.

Knarburn

The Knarburn is named after the catchment waterway local to the pub. It is the most romantic of our rooms, coated in William Morris’ beautiful wallpaper and boasting some carefully selected antique gems. The East facing window is elegantly framed by burnt red earth curtains, which complement the view over the mesmerising valley,

Armstrong

The Armstrong is named after the local family who owned and ran the pub for over 50 years. The Armstrong’s East facing aspect takes in the extraordinary beauty of the South Tyne Valley. In response, the walls are adorned in a sumptuous mole green, punctuated with rich jewel tones, evident in the beautiful bespoke velvet headboard and bucket chair.

The versatile luxury kingsize Hypnos mattress and bed can easily be converted into a twin. The Armstrong is dog friendly, suitable for a maximum of two medium size dogs.

South Tyne View

The South Tyne View speaks for itself as it overlooks the South Tyne meandering through the stunning valley. It’s dual aspect envelopes the glorious views and if star constellations are your thing, you’re in the right place. On a clear night the skies are staggering.

The dusky pink walls reflect the light and draw in the natural flora of the mountains. The large antique chest of draws accents the room. The extra generous bespoke en-suite and styled built in wardrobe add that little extra to enhance your stay.

The South Tyne View has ample storage and a single trundle bed, suitable for a child or an adult. It is our only non-dog friendly room.
